telegraf-ds — Per-node telemetry collection

This application is used to gather system metrics about the services running on the Science Platform and send them to a central InfluxDB service, where they can be used for dashboards and alerting.

This application deploys a Kubernetes DaemonSet to gather metrics from every node on the cluster. For application-level metrics gathering, see the telegraf application.

This application only exists because a bug in the telegraf and telegraf-ds helm charts prevents them from coexisting as subcharts of the same chart. If this is ever remedied, it will be folded into monitoring.
